“My copy of Geraldines book arrived yesterday. I woke up this morning bright and early and read it from beginning to end. I did manage to make it to the kitchen table while trying to homeschool my kids and read, Ethan & Me from cover to cover. I loved how it’s so real and raw at times. I creid early on and laughed a lot too. Geraldine writes from the heart and you feel like you are in the room with her.especially when she finally gets to meet Ethans paediatric consultant Kevin (kiddies doctor).

As a mother I could feel her pain and helplessness and the diffiuclty of not getting any answers. But finally here was someone who saw everything she saw in Ethan. So emotional, beautifully written, funny and also loved the bit about growing up in Corrib Park. I got a copy sent to my Mother, and my Father started reading it too, they will have gret fun fighting over it!!

Congratulations Geraldine on writing a wonderful book, I enjoyed every minute.”

“My copy arrived today after lunch and I ended up reading it from start to finish in one sitting - I couldn’t put it down . Geraldine has such a lovely way of writing, it felt like I was having a coffee with a good friend. I laughed aloud at so many of the stories and also shed a few tears. It is such a lovely book, I was left wanting more.”

“Reading the book Ger just published brought me right back into Ethans world. It’s an extraordinary book about an extraordinary family and I read it in one sitting. I would recommend anyone to buy this book for a vivid insight into Ethan and the life of a family with a child who has special needs. You’ll laugh and you’ll cry and you’ll read it all again.”

Geraldine, your book filled me with such emotions. I’ve read it twice. I laughed, I cried. So much was so true to my own life with my special needs son. Seeing it in print, from another Mam who understands it all is just powerful. Without a doubt, Ethan would be so proud of you and how you showed insight into your lives in such a beautiful way in your book. Every person who reads your book will love it and will fall in love with Ethan. With love and best wishes, Edwina.

“Book of the Week: Ethan and Me by Geraldine Renton. Ethan and Me is an exceptional writing debut about the journey taken by Ger to provide the best of attention for her son Ethan.
It is a story of hope, hardship, dark humour and wit as Geraldine and her husband David Renton battle on a daily basis to maintain as normal as possible a family life for their three sons. The trials and tribulations are balanced by Ethan's mischievous sense of humour, hiding his mother's glasses, telling people who annoy him to fug off and his penchant for stealing kisses from blonde ladies in particular.
You will laugh, you will cry and you will find it very difficult to put this book down. I for one would love to see the movie.
I guess David and Geraldine some things never change 😎. (I used to run the local video store)”

My beautiful book finally arrived yesterday from Ireland!☘️ Long trek to CA! ☀️
The author Geraldine Renton is my friend and fellow Hunter Syndrome mom to her beautiful son Ethan. Unfortunately our sweet Ethan suddenly passed away last September so I am sure there will be tears (and many laughs as I seen on Gers FB page for the last 11 years) while reading this book. I think I will read it to my Scottyman💜
So ironic, I was going to take a picture on the same day the book arrived, I had a FB memory of Ger tagging me and introducing herself and Ethan to
myself and Scotty. Thank you Ger for sharing yours and Ethans story💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Krystle Crowley

I finished it already curled up with a cup of tea. I laughed and cried along with you. It's beautifully written xxx
